Impact Volunteer Program

Impact is a volunteer program that aims to directly engage young people between the ages of 16-25 years to the variety of volunteer opportunities available within the municipality and beyond.

The program provides an introduction to volunteering and the range of opportunities available. Young people will learn about the benefits of volunteering, where to find roles and how to apply for opportunities.

Volunteer opportunities that young people will learn about may include:

  • homelessness
  • asylum seeker and refugee support
  • recreation and charitable organisations
  • event volunteering and emergency services

The program also highlights the variety of work and life skills that could be gained through volunteering, including:

  • leadership
  • communication
  • time management
  • teamwork skills
