Impact Volunteer Program

IMPACT is a volunteer program that aims to expose young people between the ages of 16-25 years to the variety of volunteer opportunities available in the City of Greater Dandenong and beyond.

The program features a combination of site visits and hands-on volunteering with volunteer organisations from a range of fields which may include:

  • Asylum seeker and refugee support
  • Charity
  • Health care
  • Animal welfare
  • Emergency services
  • Sports and recreation

Young people will learn about the benefits of volunteering, how to find and apply for volunteer positions, as well as volunteer rights and responsibilities.

The program highlights the variety of work and life skills that can be gained through volunteering, including:

  • Leadership
  • Communication
  • Time management
  • Teamwork
